2. Preimplantation Genetic Testing (PGT-A)

Preimplantation Genetic Testing for Aneuploidies (PGT-A) is one of our specialized services for patients undergoing IVF. PGT-A is an advanced genetic screening test that helps detect abnormalities in the number of chromosomes in embryos before implantation. Embryo Vitrification and PGT-A Testing

Once embryos are approved, a biopsy is performed, where a few cells are carefully extracted through a tiny opening. After the biopsy, the embryos are vitrified (frozen) while awaiting the results of the genetic screening.

The extracted cells undergo Preimplantation Genetic Testing (PGT-A), which ensures the correct number of chromosomes in the embryos. This testing is conducted using advanced technology known as Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), which detects abnormalities in any of the 23 chromosome pairs.

Based on the chromosome count, embryos are classified as normal and may then be considered for devitrification (thawing) and transfer into the mother’s uterus for implantation.

3. Premarital/Pregnancy Genetic Testing

This service is offered to couples who wish to ensure that their children are not at risk of inheriting any genetic disorders. The test can be completed if a genetic condition is known to exist in the family history of either spouse. However, if there is no known family history of genetic disorders, or if the family history is unclear, the test can still be performed as a precaution to ensure that no genetic diseases are present.
